The Summer Concert Series is back at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater with a diverse mix of music for fans of all ages. Kicking-off on Jun. 2 with the family-friendly Tuesday Night Concerts, the summer line-up includes the return of the popular AMP After Dark shows on Fridays as well. Fans are encouraged to get more details and keep track of special community promotions with the new Nickel Plate District App now available for iOS and Android platforms.  “We had more than 100,000 people visit the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in 2014. The summer concerts have become a staple for our community,” said Mayor Scott Fadness. “We are making it easier for people to enjoy all the Nickel Plate District has to offer with the new mobile app. Fans can get event info, deals from local businesses and event notifications via the app.”  The Nickel Plate District App is free and ready for download. The app, created by Fishers-own BlueBridge Digital, has Nickel Plate District events, businesses and park information. Users can connect with local businesses and share event information on their own social media accounts from the app. The app also features a ‘Deals’ section with special discounts at local shops. Push notifications will be used to alert fans of special concert promotions as well as changes in events due to inclement weather. The Tuesday Night Concerts, sponsored by IU Health Saxony Hospital, start at 7 p.m., while the Amp After Dark shows on Fridays, sponsored by Century 21 Sheetz begin at 9 p.m. In addition to the local favorites gracing the stage this summer, national recording artist Eddie Money is slated to take the stage on July 24 for the WJJK Flashback Friday Concert. All concerts are free and fans are welcome to bring their own food and drinks for a fun night out. Highlights from the concert schedule Include:
